Job Purpose
Connect with the Lactalis at our plant in Eastern Cape Port Elizabeth Plant as a Quality System Controller the main goal of the vacancy is to manage food safety and quality management systems to assure that the quality department participates positively in the plant meeting various audit and client requirements. Successful applicants need to have at least have 2 – 5 years of related experience in a UHT Manufacturing plant experience.
Required Skills
Should have a completed National Diploma in Food Technology / Analytical Chemistry / BSc Food Science or equivalent.
Must know FSSC 22000 / HACCP and Excellent computer skills.
Must have experience in allergen control plans and High attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal skills as well as being Strict with implementing standards.
Exceptional organizational skills, and should be able to sustain routine admin.
Duties and Responsibilities
Providing feedback on customer complaints, conducting root cause, and corrective action efforts, and do the Follow abreast of improving and preventative actions for every non-conformance detected. Custodian of the CPA and see of changes and Coordinates HACCP/ Food safety risk assessments, audits, and reviews. Help with the coordination of monthly food safety and quality meetings and annual reviews. Assure that each one plant’s documents are controlled and reviewed also as Monitoring and executing traceability exercises and report any non-conformances. Manage pest control monthly visits and services and Review food safety and quality data and provides input as needed.
Help within the supervision of quality checks on final products during production and Handling routine and ad-hoc checks on production records also as Coordination of internal audits. Conducting internal audits on various elements of the food safety system. Provides training and awareness to plant employees and to stay training matrix of every department with regards to HACCP/ Food Safety, GMP’s, or required training. Compile quality reports and trends Spend 20% of the time on the ground reviewing quality activities and documents altogether departments. Liaison with regulatory bodies –information requirements and Recipe, ingredients & product information management. Allergen management within the factory, Scheduling, and conducting aspects of quality also as performing on electronic systems.
