Learnership Overview
The Siza Water Electrician Learnership offers hands-on exposure to real-world electrical operations within water infrastructure. Successful learners will assist experienced electricians with installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting duties across water treatment facilities, reservoirs, and pump stations.
Key Responsibilities and Responsibilities
- Help with installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems and Participate in scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of equipment and Troubleshoot faults on motors, VSDs, and basic instrumentation
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical diagrams and Complete assignments, logbooks, and assessments as required and Participate in sump cleaning and assist with standby duties
The Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric certificate (Maths & Physical Science preferred)/N2 or N3 Electrical Engineering Certificate
- Valid Code 10 Driver’s License and Exposure to industrial environments is advantageous and South African citizenship and youth status (18–35 years)
