The OPFA is offering a Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Program for TVET College students who have completed their N6 Information Technology qualification and require practical experience to graduate. Salary: Market Related The Office of the Pension Funds Adjudicator (OPFA) is established in terms of section 30B of the Pension Funds Act, 24 of 1956, to dispose of pension fund complaints lodged in terms of the Act in a procedurally fair, economical, and expeditious manner

Key Competencies and Behavioral Attributes:

  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Word, Excel, and Outlook), excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and self-motivation, planning, and organizing.
  • Planning and organizing and Resilience and ability to analyze, interpret, and solve problems; a good grasp of ICT terms; and ability to express complex concepts.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Help with troubleshooting of computer hardware and applications Log and classify ICT incidents and service requests and make sure that they are resolved promptly and Provide support for ICT systems escalate complex issues to senior personnel and Assist in documenting ICT change requests and releases in line with processes.
  • Keeping the ICT documentation in order (electronic and paper) and Support ICT team members in coordinating tasks or activities within ICT projects Attend ICT meetings and take notes or assist with meeting logistics.
  • Engaging with relevant service providers and Collecting and organizing information to assist with ICT audits and Assist with updating ICT procedures and manuals and Help update the ICT asset register, warranties, contracts, etc., and update the ICT risk register.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly reports (ICT operations, budgets, payments, etc) and perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor or line manager.

Program Stipend: R8,500.00 per month.

Job Requirements
  • Have completed an N6 qualification from a TVET college. Age must be between 18 and 35 years, and the applicant must be an unemployed South African citizen.
  • Provide a letter from their college confirming completion of theoretical studies and practical training requirements. All students must have a workplace-based learning logbook supplied by the TVET College to document their daily tasks and responsibilities.
