RAF Learnerships & Internships: Claims Learnerships And Technology & Digital Learnerships
Purpose of the Learnership: The Road Accident Fund (RAF) is committed to empowering South African youth by providing skills development and workplace learning opportunities. Applications are now open for the Claims Learnership Programme, aimed at unemployed young people who have completed Matric (Grade 12) only and are between the ages of 18 and 23 years.
This learnership offers participants the opportunity to gain valuable workplace experience and develop claims related skills over a period of 12 months.
As part of the selection process, verification checks will be conducted to confirm applicants’ employment history and determine whether they have previously been employed within the Republic of South Africa.
1. KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Work based exposure may include the following:
- Receiving and recording of new files from Correspondence department
- Pre-assesment of new files
- Receive new files from the pre-assessment team
- Preparation of files for scanning
- Scanning of files
- Indexing
- Uploading
- File preparation for storage
- Registration of new files
- Updating/correction of registration
- V&V of files to ensure compliance
- Issuing letters of compliance or non-compliance
Qualifications and other Requirements
- Certified copy of Grade 12 / Matric certificate
- Certified copy of your ID

Technical and behavioral competencies required

Applications are now open for the Technology and Digital Learnership Programme, aimed at unemployed young people who have completed Matric (Grade 12) only and are between the ages of 18 and 23 years.
This learnership offers participants the opportunity to gain valuable workplace experience and develop digital and technology-related skills over a period of 12 months.
As part of the selection process, verification checks will be conducted to confirm applicants’ employment history and determine whether they have previously been employed within the Republic of South Africa.
Work based exposure may include the following:
- Troubleshooting hardware, operating systems, software, user profiles, connectivity & general desktop-related issues
- Installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and supporting business applications used by employees
- Monitoring and managing devices through Intune and checking device compliance against organizational policies
- Identifying non-compliant devices and taking corrective actions to bring them back into compliance
- Performing manual security patches, software updates, and ensuring devices have the latest required security updates
- Responding to and resolving user calls and incidents logged with the regional ICT team
- Providing technical assistance directly to users and learning how to diagnose and resolve IT problems efficiently
- Identifying and resolving issues with computers, monitors, keyboards, mice, docking stations, and other ICT equipment
- Conducting asset verification and ensuring that ICT equipment is correctly recorded, assigned, and accounted for
- Troubleshooting printer connectivity, driver, configuration, printing, and hardware-related issues
Qualifications and other Requirements
- A copy of Grade 12 / Matric certificate/ statement of results with Mathematics
- A copy of your ID
- Your CV and motivational letter.

Remuneration
- The Learners will be awarded a monthly stipend
- NB: Applications can be forwarded to the RAF website, e-recruitment platform.

- Applicants must be unemployed, were never employed in the field of the post and never participated in a learnership programme in the relevant field of the post previously.
- Should it be found that the applicant previously served as a learner and did not disclose that information and it is discovered later, the applicant will be disqualified.
