Rainbow Chicken is currently recruiting for a highly talented and experienced Receiving Clerk to join our Stores team. The successful incumbent will report directly to the Stores Supervisor and will be based in Worcester, Western Cape.
Job Overview
- To ensure the timely and correct receiving and receipting of items into the stores and the SAP system.
The Minimum Required Qualifications and Experience
- Matric and 1 year’s relevant experience in a stores environment
- Relevant SAP experience and Experience in Procurement systems
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Receiving principles and tools, System skills (SAP), and Possessing literacy and numeracy skills
- Organizational awareness, Excellent Interpersonal and communication skills, and being logical
- Compliance-focused, Attention to detail, deadlinesand Ability to work under pressure
- Physically fit, must be able to lift <30 kg goods and have the willingness to work overtime when required
Duties and Responsibilities
- Receive materials and stock in a compliant and timely manner and make sure high levels of housekeeping are maintained.
- Accept all deliveries of stock for the Stores and Ensure goods received are in good order and accounted for and verified against purchase orders.
- Return stock to suppliers, where necessary, Administer all paperwork and delivery notes as per procedures, and Receive stock, non-stock, and service items.
- Ensure compliance with established procedures and company standards including levels of authority and Check for item correctness, quantity of stock, and visual quality If there is no system PO, the stock must be returned to the supplier using a goods return advice (GRA).
- Administer and facilitate the process of ensuring approved invoices are lodged with the creditor’s department and Ensure accurate capture of goods received on the ERP system against the PO

The Minimum Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum, Matric/Grade 12, relevant certificate or tertiary qualification would be advantageous.
- 2-3 years relevant experience in a similar role.

Knowledge, Attributes, and Skills
- Excel, Microsoft Office, and the ability to operate a variety of internal/external telephone and communication systems.

- Excellent phone skills, Strong technical and office skills, and Clear and pleasing voice
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Switchboard/Receptionist/Visitors and professionally answer all calls.
- Answer the phone in the first 5 rings and Help in always keeping the reception area neat.
- Ensure visitors are attended to by staff; do not roam the offices unattended; and always adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Follow instructions given by the management team and projects and events planning and coordinating (Do-more)
Overnight express bags/parcels
- Make sure any overnight bags/parcels are signed and handed over to the admin department and Make sure all documents signed for are received.
- Responsible for the post/tea lady duties while on leave/sick etc. to assist in preparing the overnight bags going to the correct customers/depo.
