Limpopo Provincial Government Traffic Learner Officer Learnership 2026 (204 Opportunities)

The Limpopo Department of Transport and Community Safety is inviting applications from young South Africans to apply for 204 Traffic Learner Officer Learnership Opportunities. This 12-month learnership programme is designed to equip unemployed youth with the knowledge, practical training, and skills required to pursue a career in traffic law enforcement.

This programme offers an excellent opportunity for ambitious individuals who are passionate about road safety, public service, and law enforcement. Successful candidates will undergo intensive theoretical and practical training at the Traffic College while receiving a competitive annual stipend throughout the duration of the programme.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Grade 12 / NQF Level 4 qualification recognised by SAQA.
  • Be between 18 and 35 years of age.
  • Possess a valid driver’s licence.
  • Have no criminal record.
  • Must not have any visible tattoos.
  • Be medically, mentally, and physically fit to undergo the training programme.
  • Must not have been declared unfit to possess a firearm in terms of the Firearms Control Act or any relevant legislation.

Knowledge and Skills

Successful applicants should demonstrate:

  • Ability to drive a motor vehicle and Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Professional conduct and discipline.
  • Willingness to learn and develop within the traffic law enforcement environment.

Selection Process

Shortlisted candidates will be required to:

  • Complete practical and integrity (ethical conduct) assessments and Undergo security clearance and qualification verification.
  • Submit certified copies of qualifications and identity document and Provide a valid driver’s licence.
  • Produce a medical certificate confirming physical and mental fitness and Successfully complete strenuous physical training at the Traffic College for the full 12-month programme.
